"I just broke every bone in my body, can my buddy take my place on the ride?"

Nope, sorry. You may cancel your registration anytime before the cancel deadline for a small fee. After that you're committed.

You're welcome to call & ask if your pro-racer-buddy can take your place since she's the strongest cyclist on the planet & can finish the trail blindfolded with pneumonia and a hangover. The answer will still be no. Sorry, it's policy.

If you have any doubts please cancel before the deadline, after that we're married.

Event Cancellation

We are technically a rain-or-shine event and this has worked well for over 15 years. This means if we can operate and ride safely, we will. Generally the desert conditions are remarkably ideal and stable.

However it is possible that really nasty weather can park itself over our operating area for an extended period & make the trail completely impassable, in which case we'll have to cancel the trip completely. This is exceedingly rare - it's happened once in over 30 trips.

So should our operating area become impassable or unsafe due to weather, acts of God, terrorism or other circumstances beyond our control and we are forced to fully cancel the event within 24 hours of the start, all riders shall receive a 50% credit towards a future ride. There are no cash refunds in such a situation.

If other conditions force a full cancellation of an event more than 24 hours prior to the start, riders shall receive the same 50% credit plus an additional credit proportional to expenses recovered by Bikerpelli.
