What is Bikerpelli?
We offer annual, fully supported group rides on the Kokopelli Trail, making this bucket-list ride approachable and stress free.
Established in 2000, we provide a premium experience with our dialed logistics and experienced staff, and take pride in connecting with our riders on a personal level. These trips are designed to be the best way for an experienced rider to enjoy the entire trail, in a realistic timeframe.
You will cross the Colorado Plateau, pass through the La Sal Mountains and descend into Moab over three outstanding days of riding, camping along the way. This is a challenging trail enjoyed best by the motivated rider, willing to bring some grit and stamina to be rewarded by a lifetime achievement.
We provide everything along the way from shuttling your gear to cooking you hot, healthy meals, from providing detailed route briefings, to mechanical support, and everything in between. Don’t even get us started on the groovers- we make sure they are a highlight in our backcountry camps!
We have a dedicated base of riders with a 40% return rate, making the community one of the highlights of these rides. Some riders come alone, others in groups or with teammates or family, but everyone leaves with new ridding buddies, formed by hours on the trail together, some Type 2 fun and celebrating eachother's wins around the campfire. Those bonds are priceless, as are the earned stories you'll walk away with, they are yours to keep.

The Kokopelli Trail
If you’re reading this, you probably already know the Kokopelli is life goal for many riders.
The Kokopelli Trail was built in 1989 by COPMOBA, a small group of committed bikers who envisioned a single contiguous trail stretching from Colorado to Moab, Utah. It was named for Kokopelli, the magical flute player who wandered the desert and was able to drive back winter according to Hopi legend.
Traveling 142 miles from Fruita, CO to Moab, UT the Kokopelli is a combination of single track and jeep track. This trail is unique for many reasons – the terrain, the remoteness and the immensely diverse conditions. It is challenging to self-support because of the lack of water sources, and so choosing a supported option like Bikerpelli is increasingly popular.
This is considered strong-intermediate terrain and is not a beginner ride. It is gorgeous, it is iconic, and it will test you as any solid ride should.
There are several optional add-ons, including some truly classic Moab single track on Day 3 (Raptor Route, anyone? Or maybe Porcupine Rim is more your style?). We have tailored these trips to our riders, and provide all the detailed info each day on the different options, including shuttles, to help you maximize your ride according to your skill and also energy level that day.
We don’t throw out the daily mileage and elevation because there are so many different outcomes, depending on if you take shuttles or choose to add on a side route, or skip a section. More details on the daily options are provided in our rider update emails, closer to the ride!
